Basic White Bread

Ingredients

  • 4 Cups of warm water (105- 115 degrees F)
  • 1 Egg (optional)
  • 1/2 Cup oil
  • 1/2 Cup sugar (can use less)
  • 1 Tbsp sea salt
  • 2 Tbsp yeast
  • 10 – 12 Cups bread or unbleached flour

Cooking Instructions

Place water, eggs oil, sugar, and approximately 6 cups of flour in the Bosch Bowl equipped with dough hook. Add a little more flour and yeast pulse to moisten. Turn to speed 1 add flour until sides of the bowl are almost clean. Continue to knead for 4 or 5 minutes. Let rest for 15 minutes. Punch air out of dough. Let rise another 15 minutes. Form into loaves let rise for 30 – 60 minutes (until doubled in sized)

Bake in a preheat (350 degree) oven for 20 – 30 minutes until golden brown.

Remove loaves from pan immediately after removing from oven – brush tops with butter (margarine, lard – a shortening of your choice.)
